A new team!

If someone would have told me four weeks ago that I’d be involved in so many great opportunities today, I would have written them off as being crazy! And lately, the words “everything happens for a reason” have been frequently spoken from these lips. As a little girl, I’ve dreamt of being a model, singer, doctor, designer, actress and just deeply involved in the world of fashion and entertainment.
As I’m preparing for my mid-terms (in pursuit of my Psychology degree see doctor), I realized I haven’t spoken with you in a few days. So…..hello world!! On Friday evening, I met a hungry fashion designer who shares the same passion for fashion as I (see designer). What a great feeling! I was truly inspired, moved and motivated from the meeting. On Saturday, I attended a networking social in downtown Dallas. If you haven’t been to Soutshide on Lamar in Dallas it is a chic, trendy loft of residences and businesses. It is the old converted Sears & Roebucks building. There I met a local photographer who was “ready” to start immediate work on my portfolio (see model). Later that night, I was handed the business card of a local actress and singer so I immediately returned the introduction, made acquaintances and established another contact upon my journey. Earlier that day, I had mentioned how I would have liked to go to the recording studio Saturday night to lay vocals (see singer), and now I have a new contact for that too.
Did I mention Dallas based record label Bigga Than Life Entertainment? Things are moving so quickly and I’m getting deeper and deeper into this business. I have El Runway, I have the LifeTime lines. I am blessed, gifted and happy to see the dreams of that little girl unfold. And lastly, I have been warranted an opportunity of a “LifeTime”, no pun intended, to partner with the DOTY Designer of the year in 2004, Andre Terry. His knowledge of fashion styles and image development has given him the opportunity to travel the world and make pieces for some of Hollywood’s most talented is parallel to none. This is the perfect opportunity for me, my company, and my family as I set out to accomplish all of our dreams. We are part of a new family; The IMT Design family and the family of fashion and entertainment!! Come follow us on our journey.

El Runway Website

El Runway Caliente's goal is to provide the public with a distinct and compelling selection of national brands with an emphasis on the collection of emerging local based designers not usually found at retail. We're looking to build a network of designers and use a website as a forum and outlet for creative and saleable lines as well as serve as a window into the indie fashion scene that the metroplex has to offer.
Stay tuned for our web address coming soon! We look forward to working with many local area fashion designers! Dfw will be the next top cities in fashion!

Music is Life!

Hello World. It’s your favorite fashion enthusiast, model mogul Lexy P. Not only is fashion my passion and first love (see El Runway Caliente); I am also part owner of a thriving entertainment
Company Bigga Than Life Entertainment (stay tuned for more about Bigga than Life). Did I mention performing artist, singer and songwriter too? Anyway, I love music; all types of music!! Ever since I was a little girl from teenager to adulthood, I would always sing and dance along with my favorite artists from Gloria Trevi, Mariah Carey, Selena, Alicia Keys and others. Ever wonder what your favorite movie would sound like without music scores? Pretty empty I’d bet. I’d imagine that’s what life would be without music….EMPTY. Music enhances so many facets of life: (1) Physical – Ever wonder why your local gym is full of people wearing headphones blasting tunes while working out…..(2) Emotional – Who can forget the way Chris Brown performed Michael Jackson’s “Man In The Mirror” or the way you felt while watching Armageddon and hearing Aerosmith’s “ I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” playing in the background…..(3) Mental – Ahhh, Eminem made me do it, Tupac told me to…..(4) Social – R. Kelly said “Fiesta, Fiesta” while Lil Wayne made me feel as though “I’m Single.” As an artist and business owner, I am also concerned about the communities we serve. As our companies grow, I would love to see my philanthrophic opportunities expand as well. Which brings me to this wonderful cause I have discovered called Music Saves Lives. Music Saves Lives is the bridge between music, entertainment and important life-saving causes. MSL has focused efforts on blood donation and the bone marrow registry, reaching out by sharing facts, educating and empowering. They educate about the importance of simple life saving actions. These simple actions, like donating blood, running a blood drive, and registering for the marrow program to save those with leukemia, all connect back to the community. To learn more about the cause click on the link below.

“Saving Lives Has Never Sounded So Good”…Now that should be music to everyone’s ears!!

Have a great day!

Skye Bar one year anniversary 10/9/10

Upon arrival we noticed a fashionable crowd waiting to get inside. Once inside we checked out each level; first level is considered the dance level, with second and third levels being lounge areas. The rooftop presented a sky view of downtown Dallas, along with a bar and lounge couches. We also got a chance to try a new tequila "Corzo" (owned by Barcardi) for tequila drinkers it's along the lines of Patron. Would definitely give it a shot! No pun intended! The music was bumping!~ complimentary open bar from ten til eleven. As the night grew the crowd grew on the dance floor, the DJ kept the floor crowded as I got stepped on from someone in stilettos! There was a mix of NFL players and local celebrities along with national recording artist Tank and Ray Lavender. The fashion scene consisted mostly of dresses and stilettos for women of course. For the gentlemen, the scene was more casual with nice denim jeans, button up shirts, vests and sport jackets. Overall the experience was enjoyable and I will return...
